Der jährlich erscheinende Klima-Risiko-Index vergleicht wetterbedingte Schadensereignisse (Stürme, Überschwemmungen, Hitzewellen etc.) und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Staaten der Welt.

Aufgrund eines vorübergehenden Datenmangels bei unserem Datenlieferanten können wir auch in 2023 leider keinen Klima-Risiko-Index erstellen. Wir bedauern dies sehr.

Wer ist am stärksten von extremen Wetterereignissen betroffen? Wetterbedingte Schadensereignisse im Jahr 2019 und 2000 bis 2019
Der Globale Klima-Risiko-Index zeigt, wie stark Länder von Wetterextremen wie Überschwemmungen, Stürmen, Hitzewellen etc. betroffen sind. Berücksichtigt wurden die aktuellsten verfügbaren Daten für 2019 und von 2000 bis 2019. Mosambik, Simbabwe und die Bahamas waren 2019 am stärksten von Extremwetterereignissen betroffen. Im Zeitraum zwischen 2000 und 2019 waren Puerto Rico, Myanmar und Haiti die am stärksten betroffenen Länder.

Untersucht werden die menschlichen Auswirkungen (Todesopfer) sowie die direkten ökonomischen Verluste. Japan, die Philippinen und Deutschland waren 2018 am stärksten von Extremwetterereignissen betroffen. Im Zeitraum zwischen 1999 und 2018 waren Puerto Rico, Myanmar und Haiti die am stärksten betroffenen Länder.

The most recent data available – for 2016 and from 1997 to 2016 – were taken into account. The countries affected most in 2016 were Haiti, Zimbabwe as well as Fiji. For the period from 1997 to 2016 Honduras, Haiti and Myanmar rank highest.

The most recent data available – from 2015 and 1996–2015 – were taken into account. The countries affected most in 2015 were Mozambique, Dominica as well as Malawi. For the period from 1996 to 2015 Honduras, Myanmar and Haiti rank highest.

The Global Climate Risk Index 2016 analyses to what extent countries have been affected by the impacts of weather-related loss events (storms, floods, heat waves etc.). The most recent data available - from 2014 and 1995–2014 - were taken into account. The countries affected most in 2014 were Serbia, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the period from 1995 to 2014 Honduras, Myanmar and Haiti rank highest.
