Arbeitsblätter: Klimawandel in der Stadt am Beispiel der Partnerstädte Bonn (Deutschland) und Chengdu (China)

Dieses Arbeitsblatt stellt zunächst die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels für Deutschland und China im Allgemeinen dar und bietet Hintergrundmaterial zum Länderkontext an. Den SchülerInnen wird verdeutlicht, dass Klimawandel nicht nur den globalen Süden betrifft, sondern sich längst auf Lebensbereiche in allen geografischen Zonen der Welt auswirkt. Daran anschließend macht der Fokus auf die lokale Ebene mit den Partnerstädten Bonn und Chengdu das Thema Klimawandel für einen konkreten, eng umfassten städtischen Kontext fassbar.

Mit dem Eckpunktepapier „Strommarkt“ hat das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) konkrete Vorschläge unterbreitet, um zentrale Projekte in der kurzfristigen Vorhabenplanung der Bundesregierung bei der Umsetzung der Energiewende zu realisieren. Aus Sicht des WWF und Germanwatch sind die vom BMWi vorgeschlagenen Maßnahmen weitgehend eine gute Grundlage für die kommende Diskussion, die bei konsequenter Ausgestaltung den Grundstein für eine glaubwürdige Klimaschutzpolitik legen können.

This handbook by Germanwatch highlights new approaches that have been tested by the partners of the European BESTGRID project. Within BESTGRID, Transmission system operators from Belgium, the UK, Italy and Germany have closely cooperated with national and regional non-governmental organisations. Germanwatch has been following the jointly developed good-practice approaches to early and transparent power grid planning and has compiled its findings in this handbook.

White Paper on the Electricity Market and the New Climate Policy Instrument

The "electricity market" White Paper published by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) puts forward practical proposals for implementing key projects in the Federal Government's short-term plan for achieving the energy transition. In general the WWF and Germanwatch view the BMWi's proposed measures as a good basis for the forthcoming debate. If carried through, these measures could form the cornerstone of a credible climate policy. However, the following remarks are limited to the analysis and evaluation of the new climate policy instrument for securing an adequate CO2 reduction contribution by the power sector. Only a short appraisal is given of the other three proposals.

Anhand des Unterrichtsmaterials haben sie die Möglichkeit, die weit verzweigte Lieferkette ihres Handys vom Rohstoffabbau bis zur Entsorgung nachzuvollziehen. Das Material umfasst viele kreative und interaktive Übungen, unter anderem Spiele zum Perspektivwechsel und das Online Spiel "Handy Crash" mit Kreuzworträtseln.

Die INTEGRATED RISK TOOLBOX

Klima- und Energiepolitik stehen vor der Herausforderung, mit miteinander wechselwirkenden Unsicherheiten umgehen zu müssen. In der Risikoforschung werden solche Unsicherheiten als integrierte Risiken (integrated risks) bezeichnet. Der Risikobegriff ist in diesem Zusammenhang wertneutral und umfasst sowohl positive Zukünfte (im Fachjargon upside risks genannt) als auch negative Zukünfte (downside risks). Im Blickpunkt der Risikoforschung liegen insbesondere mögliche Synergieeffekte zwischen Risiken sowie die Fragen, wie man sinnvoll mit solchen Synergien umgeht und welche institutionellen Strukturen hierfür geeignet sind. Integrated Risk Governance ist das Forschungsfeld, in dem diese Fragen bearbeitet werden.

G7 müssen starke Selbstverpflichtungen für eine nachhaltige und gerechte Welt beschließen

In einer Erklärung zum bevorstehenden G7-Gipfel in Deutschland fordert das Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Germany) die Bundeskanzlerin und ihre G7-Kolleginnen und Kollegen auf, im Juni in Elmau entschlossene Beiträge zu weltweit nachhaltiger Entwicklung zu vereinbaren.
