Milena Ostrower’s work focuses on climate risks and the climate-aligned design of financial markets with an emphasis on the private sector. Currently, she is working on a project to anchor climate policy goals in the financial sector and on the adjustment of regulatory frame conditions of the financial market in the EU and Germany to implement article 2.1c. of the Paris Agreement.

The topic sustainable finance was also at the core of her previous engagement as analyst for financial climate risks at the strategy consulting firm The CO-Firm. Among other things during her studies, she got insight in the German development cooperation in the sector project on sustainable economic development of the GIZ and in the German foreign trade promotion at the German Foreign Trade Chamber Peru in Lima. Furthermore, at Allianz SE she analysed investment and insurance projects based on the company’s environmental, social and governance criteria.
